The waterproof polyurethane film is inert and won't leach chemicals or toxins making it the most eco-friendly of all waterproof barriers on the market.

The polyurethane is non-toxic. It does not off-gas. It is inert until it reaches 450 degrees. In other words, it would not change chemistry until the temperature reaches at least 450 degrees. It is also biodegradable.
